Discover Kenya’s wild side on this 10-day Kenya safari adventure. Begin with two nights in Samburu National Reserve, known for its unique wildlife such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffes, and Somali ostriches. Enjoy the rich Samburu culture and rugged beauty of nature.
Spend the next two nights at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to East Africa’s largest black rhino sanctuary and the last remaining northern white rhinos. Visit the renowned chimpanzee sanctuary.
Continue to Lake Bogoria for a night, where geysers and hot springs meet the vibrant flocks of flamingos for breathtaking sights.
Relax for a night by Lake Naivasha, surrounded by hippos and diverse birdlife, with opportunities for boat rides or walks at Crescent Island.
End with an exhilarating safari in the Masai Mara, where you will experience amazing game drives through the vast savannah grasslands, Big Five sightings, and possibly witness the Great Migration.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Heading to Samburu
Our guide/ driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and immediately depart for Samburu passing through central Kenya highlands, and the equator line to Samburu land. Arrive with an introductory game drive en route to the lodge/camp for lunch. After lunch, relax before a game drive at 4 p.m. Samburu Park has unique residents including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and the blue-legged Somali Ostrich.

Day 2: Discover the Samburu Special Five
After breakfast, depart with lunch boxes to spend the entire day exploring Samburu on extensive game drives. Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique northern Kenya species such as the reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. Samburu National Reserve is characterized by a desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of tabletop Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon.

Day 3: A true wildlife destination of Ol Pejeta
After breakfast, check out and immediately head to Sweetwaters to arrive just before lunchtime. The afternoon game drive is at 4 p.m. for 2 hours. Ol Pejeta is a beautiful private game reserve and home to rare species such as Beisa oryx, Rothschild’s giraffe, and black rhino. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and hippos.

Day 4: Explore wildlife and visit the animal orphanage
Enjoy this day with a morning and afternoon game with the rest of the time spent at the camp’s facilities. Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. Observe chimps at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

Day 5: Explore flamingos, geysers and hot springs of Lake Bogoria
After breakfast, depart for Lake Bogoria with a short stop at Thompson Falls in Nyahururu. Arrive at the Lake Bogoria Spa Resort in time for lunch. After lunch, depart for a late afternoon game drive in the reserve to see the flamingoes. Lake Bogoria lies in a trough below the Ngendelel Escarpment, a sheer wall 600 meters (2,000 ft) high. The lake is alkaline, feeding blue-green algae, which feeds flamingoes. It is geothermically active on the western shore, with geysers and hot springs. The geologist J.W. Gregory described the lake in 1892 as “the most beautiful view in Africa”. The reserve is in a semi-arid area and the only major river feeding the lake is the Waseges River, which rises on the northern slopes of the Aberdare Range. The lake is surrounded by grasslands dotted with bushes while there is acacia-ficus woodland to the south and the north merges into a papyrus swamp.

Day 6: Boat ride on Lake Naivasha and Nature walk at Crescent Island
Have breakfast then depart for Lake Lake Naivasha to arrive in good time for a boat ride on Lake Naivasha and a walk to Crescent Island. Sail to shore for check-in and lunch. The afternoon is to be spent at leisure.

Day 7: Heading to the finest park in Kenya, the Masai Mara
Have an early breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch at the camp. Have lunch then relax before an evening game drive from 4 pm to 6 pm.
Overnight: Zebra Plains Mara Camp or Basecamp Maasai Mara/ Ashnil Mara Camp/ Sarova Mara Game Camp or Mara Serena Safari Lodge or Tipilikwani Mara Camp/ Ilkeliani Mara Camp/ Entim Mara

Day 8 & 9: Discover Africa’s Big Five and the wildebeest migration
Spend these two days on extensive game drives in the Mara Reserve. If you’re looking to see Big Cats, the Masai Mara National Reserve is an excellent place to spot them. The Mara has been called the Kingdom of Lions and these powerful hunters dominate these grasslands. Cheetahs are also a common sight in the Mara, as are hyenas, and smaller predators such as jackals. Picnic lunch by the banks of Mara River. Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives, and all meals at the camp/lodge.

Day 10: End of your Ultimate Kenya Safari
Have another early morning game drive then return to the camp for breakfast. Thereafter, depart for Nairobi with a stop in Narok for lunch or at a city restaurant. Later be dropped at the hotel or at the airport for your outbound flight.
