Stay in charming lodges on the crater’s edge and enjoy cultural touches such as optional coffee farm visits.

From there, journey to the Central and Northern Serengeti, famous for its sweeping savannahs and dramatic wildlife encounters. Spend multiple days on game drives following the Great Wildebeest Migration and searching for Africa’s Big Five, with opportunities to add once-in-a-lifetime experiences like a hot air balloon safari or bush dinner under the stars.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Transfer Ngorongoro ( Approx. 2 hrs)

Our driver will meet you at your hotel or the airport on arrival. Drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy an introductory game drive in the crater and a picnic lunch at one of the famous picnic spots in the park. Explore the Crater more and in the evening, check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Overnight: Ngorongoro Farmhouse / Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge / Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After breakfast, depart for another tour of the crater floor. Spend the morning in the crater and then return to the lodge for lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure. Some optional activities to do are such as coffee farm visit to learn the coffee making process.

Day 3: Ngorongoro – Transfer to Central Serengeti (Approx. 3-4 hours)

Have an early breakfast and depart Ngorongoro for Serengeti with a short stop at Ol Duvai Gorge. Drive to Serengeti to arrive in time for lunch. The afternoon game drive is at 3 or 4 p.m.

Serengeti National Park is a vast wilderness of approximately 14,750 square kilometers, well known for its breathtaking savannah landscapes, home to large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles that migrate annually in search of fresh grazing grounds. The park is also home to the iconic African “Big Five” – lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinoceroses – as well as a wide variety of other wildlife such as cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and much more.

Overnight: Serengeti Katikati / Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge or Mbuzi Mawe/Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge

Day 4, 5 and 6: Northern Serengeti – Full Days

After breakfast, check out with picnic lunch boxes and spend the day on game drives that lead to the northern side of Serengeti known as Kogatende. Check-in in the evening for dinner and overnight rest.

Spend day 5 and 6 exploring the Greater Serengeti and following the migration of the wildebeests as they cross from Serengeti to Maasai Mara through the Mara River.

Alternatively, have morning and afternoon game drives. Spend part of the day exploring the camp facilities and nature walks.

Optional activity: Hot Air Balloon Ride, Maasai Village Visit, Bush breakfast or dinner

Overnight: Serengeti Katikati / Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge or Sametu Camp/ Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge

Day 7: Serengeti – Transfer to Arusha via Flight

Have a pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, check out and have a short game drive en route to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha. On arrival, our driver will meet you and take you to a restaurant in Arusha for lunch before driving to your hotel- The Original Masai Lodge.
