Serra Cafema

Serra Cafema is one of the most remote lodges in Africa, accessible only by light aircraft and set on the Kunene River on the border between Namibia and Angola. Eight thatched chalets on elevated platforms overlook the river and the dunes of the Hartmann Valley beyond. In one of the least-visited places on Earth, Serra Cafema offers encounters with semi-nomadic Himba communities, desert-adapted wildlife, and a landscape of extraordinary silence and scale.
