This Tanzania honeymoon safari combines the romance of the Serengeti, the dramatic wildlife density of Ngorongoro Crater and a relaxed Zanzibar beach escape. It is designed for couples who want meaningful safari days, beautiful lodges and time to slow down together on the Indian Ocean.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Fly into the Serengeti
A scenic charter flight directly into the Serengeti, transferring straight to your camp without a long road transfer. Your first evening: a private sundowner on the plains as the Serengeti light turns golden, followed by dinner under the African sky.
Day 2Serengeti – Full Day
Private game drives timed around sunrise and sunset, with the midday reserved for lunch and time at the camp. A bush breakfast is set up on the plains on this first full morning: a table and chairs in the middle of the savannah with your guide and the landscape entirely to yourselves. No other guests, no schedule.
Day 3Ngorongoro Crater Rim
Transfer to a crater-rim lodge for two nights. The journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area highlands passes Maasai villages and sweeping rift valley views. Arrive at the crater rim in time for an afternoon walk along the forest edge and a private sundowner with the caldera laid out below you.
Day 4Ngorongoro Crater – Full Day
A full day on the crater floor: the world's largest intact volcanic caldera, 260 km² and 25,000 large mammals. Resident black rhino, lion prides, elephant bulls, flamingos in the soda lake, and hippos in the freshwater pools. Picnic lunch at the in-crater site. A private sundowner on the crater rim on your final evening in the bush.
Day 5Fly to Zanzibar
A short charter flight to Zanzibar, transferring straight to your beach resort on the east coast. From baobab plains to Indian Ocean beach in under two hours. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 6Zanzibar – Beach Day
Your first full day on the island. The Indian Ocean, reef-protected and warm, the white sand, the salt air. Optional morning snorkelling on the reef directly from the beach. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 7Zanzibar – Spice Tour & Sunset Dhow Cruise
A half-day spice farm tour through Zanzibar's fragrant plantations, the island's most rewarding cultural experience. Return to the resort for lunch, then an afternoon at the beach before a sunset dhow cruise with Swahili cuisine and the Indian Ocean horizon.
Day 8Zanzibar – Beach Day
A final full day at leisure. Snorkelling, diving with the resort's PADI centre, kayaking, or simply staying at the beach and the pool. Optional Stone Town half-day tour for those who want the UNESCO heritage experience. Private beach dinner can be arranged on this evening.
Day 9Zanzibar – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy the beach until your transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your onward or international flight. End of Saringi Tours services.

Last checked 9 October 2026: mainland Tanzania's mandatory inbound travel insurance began on 1 October 2026. Zanzibar has operated its own requirement since 1 October 2024. Eligible travellers must arrange the applicable policy before travel; your usual private travel insurance does not replace this entry requirement.
Your first Tanzanian arrival on this route is in mainland Tanzania. Use the official NIC portal to arrange the applicable policy before travel. One applicable, valid policy covers onward travel between the mainland and Zanzibar for the same insured journey; do not buy a second policy simply because this itinerary includes both.
Standard insurance rates are US$44 per adult aged 18 or over, US$22 per child aged 3–17, and free for ages 0–2, subject to the insurer's eligibility rules and checkout. Insurance age bands may differ from lodge child rates. Cover is for up to 92 days, with the actual dates shown on your certificate. Keep the certificate and QR code accessible throughout the trip.
Residents of EAC and SADC member states qualify for the mainland exemption under NIC's published rules. This is residence-based, not simply a passport exemption, and does not automatically exempt you in Zanzibar. Confirm eligibility and any Zanzibar requirement with the insurer before departure.
The government policy is purchased separately and excluded from this safari price. Keep comprehensive personal travel insurance suitable for your activities, medical needs, cancellation risks and other countries visited. Government cover has limits and exclusions; any separately arranged evacuation service does not replace it. Rules and rates can change, so recheck the official portals before travel.
