Burunge Tented Lodge

Burunge Tented Lodge is a comfortable tented camp in the Burunge Wildlife Management Area on the northern edge of the Tarangire ecosystem, a community conservation area that provides a buffer between the national park and surrounding villages, supporting both wildlife and local livelihoods. The camp's 20 tents are set in a dry acacia landscape with views over the plains and the distant Tarangire highlands.
Burunge's location outside the national park gives it a quieter, less-travelled atmosphere than the lodges inside the park boundary, while still providing easy daily access to Tarangire's spectacular elephant herds. It is a good mid-range choice on Tanzania Northern Circuit itineraries, particularly for travellers interested in community conservation as well as wildlife.
