Chada Camp is a Nomad Tanzania property overlooking the Chada floodplain in Katavi National Park, one of Tanzania's least-visited and most remote wilderness areas. Katavi is known for its staggering dry-season concentrations of hippo in dwindling pools, enormous buffalo herds, and a predator population rarely disturbed by vehicles. Chada's eight tents are positioned along a tree line overlooking the floodplain, where the game concentrations in July–October rival anywhere in Africa.

Nomad Tanzania's guiding philosophy is at its most powerful in Katavi: the guides' deep knowledge of the ecosystem, combined with the park's near-total absence of other tourists, creates a safari experience of genuine wildness and discovery. Walking safaris through the floodplain edges, where lion and leopard hunt the buffalo herds, are the camp's most memorable activity.
