Overview
The Tanzania Great Migration Safari is a 6-day safari through Serengeti, Ndutu Plains & Ngorongoro Crater, designed and operated by Saringi Tours. Based in Nairobi and women-led, Saringi has been building private African itineraries since 2018. This route takes in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, with each day sequenced to put you in the right place at the right time for wildlife.
Saringi Tours is a women-led safari company based in Nairobi, and every itinerary is private and bespoke. Dates, group size, accommodation tier, and optional activities such as a hot air balloon, guided bush walks, or cultural visits can all be adjusted to fit your preferences and budget. Our team is available before, during, and after your trip to make sure everything runs as it should.
Trip Highlights
Calving season on the Ndutu plains (December to March): newborn wildebeest and the predators that follow
Mara River crossings in the northern Serengeti (June to October)
Full day in the Ngorongoro Crater with resident black rhino population
Flexible routing repositioned seasonally based on live migration reports
Central Seronera Valley: leopard along river courses, resident lion prides year-round
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Fly or drive from Arusha into the highlands, arriving at your crater-rim lodge in time for a sundowner overlooking the caldera. The mist that rolls off the Ngorongoro forest at dusk makes this one of Tanzania's most dramatic first evenings.
